Funeral services celebrating the life of Albert “Cecil” Hammond will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 13, 2019 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Ed Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball. The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Hammond, 92, of Pineville, passed from this life on Monday, December 9, 2019. Mr. Hammond joined the Air Force in July 1945 and in 1954 he transferred to the Naval Reserve CB unit. He was discharged from the Naval Reserve in May 1970. He married Adele Rodriguez and they were married for 50 years until her death. He married Margaret Crichton on March 10, 2003 until her death in November 2015. Mr. Hammond was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pineville. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Roger Hammond; daughter, Peggy Hammond (Tim); daughters-in-law, Debbie Crichton (John), Janice Steen, and Sharon Vanderheiden (Richard); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family and friends.
