Chance Wesley Harlow

Born July 19, 1984, died December 8, 2019. Survived by his mother and step-father, Paula and Ken Mickiewicz and step-brothers Bryan and Adam Mickiewicz; father, Dennis Harlow, his wife Cathy, and grandmother, Dorothy Harlow. Chance is preceded in death by his sister, Brianna Harlow and grandparents Ken and Dorothy Gettman. Chance graduated from Greeley West HS in 2003. He entered the Army in 2004, raising to the rank of Sergeant, served three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Chance was honorably discharged in 2009. He then served as a Sergeant in the Army reserves until 2012. Chance worked as an overseas protective security specialist in Afghanistan until 2014. During this time he earned his bachelor's degree in Homeland Security from American Military University. Services will be held on January 10th at Colorado Community Church, 14000 E. Jewell Ave., Aurora, CO 80012. Interment to follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Pets for Patriots at https://donate.petsforpatriots.org/. Chance will be missed by his family and friends. We will always remember his laugh, big bear hugs, and devotion to those he loved.
