Thelma Olean Brown (Blair) of Clever, 92-years-old, born in Magic Springs, Arkansas passed away on December 9th, 2019 after a long and fulfilling life . Thelma loved putting out garden every year until she was in her late 80’s and had a green-thumb when it came to growing flowers. She was an avid crafter and made a mean pot of chicken and dumplings. She could fry up a perfect pan of okra, but really loved it boiled. Thelma was married to Arlee Brown for 56 years. They started their life together in Arkansas where they met in church and Arlee courted Thelma on horseback. They had four children – Bonnieta Stewart of Republic; Gary Brown (Vickie) of Clever; Donita Griffin (Karl) of Union City; and Gregory Brown (Rexanna) of Columbia. Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, by brothers Cecil and Homer; and sisters Della Grinder, and Letha Grinder. She will be missed by her immediate family of nieces, nephews, and extended line of grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren as well as special niece Linda Chastain of Clever . Thelma was a member of Union City Community Church for over 60 years where her impact and absence will be felt.
