Sharon Diane Day, 74, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at her home in Rapid City. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm at the Salvation Army in Rapid City on Monday, June 13, 2016. She was born on August 24, 1941, to Pearl and Walter Gustfason in Tracy, Minnesota. She moved to Sioux Falls and married Keith Clark and to this union they had a daughter, Karla Ann Summers and a son, James Dale Clark. She remarried Don Day and later moved to Rapid City, then to Casper, Wyoming, and back to Sioux Falls, where she worked at Best Buy until she retired. In January of 2014, she moved back to Rapid City, and resided with her granddaughter, Tanya (Tory) Schelske, who acted as her primary caregiver until her passing. Sharon enjoyed playing bingo, going to home league at the Salvation Army. She also enjoyed her Chihuahua, Bella, otherwise known as "Little Bit". She also enjoyed hanging out with family, driving in the hills, and listening to Elvis Presley. Survivors include her daughter, Karla (Bill) Summers, Seymour, MO; son, James Clark, Black Hawk; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Connie (Ken) Drever, Tracy, MN; and several nieces and nephews. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Salvation Army or to her family at: 3496 Remington Rd. Rapid City, SD 57703.
