It is with broken hearts that the family of the late James Francis "Big Jim" Walsh announces his passing. James passed away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Sunday, December 8th, 2019 at the age of 59 years. Big Jim is predeceased by his parents - Thomas & Gertrude Walsh; siblings - Henry Jude Walsh and Baby Walsh and brothers-in-law - Thomas Traverse, Ralph Leger and Rocco Patafio. Left with many fond and loving memories are his siblings - Christina Traverse, Pauline Barrett (Robert), Geraldine Silvey (Gus), Stephen John Walsh and Big Bob Walsh, all of Fleur de Lys, NL, Claudine Leger, Cape Pele, NB, Big Bob Walsh, Fleur de Lys, NL, Mathias Walsh, Coquitlam, BC, Randy Walsh (Juanita), Fleur de Lys, NL, Paul Walsh (Cyndi), Hamilton, ON, Susan Barrett (Anthony), Josephine Patafio, both of Fleur de Lys, NL and Rod Walsh (Sheila), Port Hardy, BC as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and innumerable friends. Father Camillus Ekedobe conducted the Mass of Christian Burial from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL on Thursday, December 12th, 2019 at 1:00PM. Interment will take place on Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fleur de Lys, NL at a later date. As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted.
