Aaron Jacob Taylor Jr.

Aaron Jacob Taylor Jr., 90, of Litchfield, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at his home. He was born November 29, 1929 in North Adams to Aaron J. and Alta (Young) Taylor Sr. He married Merrilee Austin on October 5, 1952 and she survives. He attended Litchfield schools and continued on to serve his country in the United States Army. Aaron was employed as a lineman for Kelsey-Hayes in Jackson; he was a member of the Crosley Car Club and also enjoyed antique tractors and barns. He greatly loved his great grandson and his dog Sammy. In addition to his wife, Merrilee, Aaron is survived by daughters, Rhonda (Dan) Beitelschies of North Fort, Florida; Marta Taylor-Satterelli of Jackson; sister, Dorothy Jean (Ray) Rogers of Litchfield; brother, Michael (Patt) Pogue-Taylor of Litchfield; grandchildren, Beth (Jordan) Cooper, Bree-Anne, Luke (Jessica White) Satterelli; great grandson, Sage Satterelli, and sister-in-law, Louise Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mildred “Mickey” Fish, Delores “Joanne” Swan, and one brother, Al “Twerp” Taylor. Funeral services for Aaron J. Taylor Jr. will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 1 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Litchfield with Reverend Julie Yoder Elmore officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Association. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Litchfield.
