Carol Jean Whelton

Carol Jean Whelton Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019, at Covenant Harrison. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late Helen (Beyer) and Jesse Yancer was born July 12, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Richard Thomas Whelton, February 28, 1953. Her husband of 66 years survives her. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed cooking, knitting, baking and reading. Most of all, she enjoyed her grandchildren and family. Surviving besides her husband, Richard, are two daughters and their husbands, Kathleen Jo and Kirk Rupp, Saginaw, MI; Jane Ann and Mark Dodge, Swartz Creek, MI; four grandchildren, Matthew Rupp, Nicholas Rupp, Carly Dodge and her fianc, Jason Aslin, Cristi Julien and her husband, Brad; two great grandchildren, Taylor Easley and Cana Julien; her sister and brother-in-law, Myrna and Roger Little; several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a sister, Joan Buscarino and a special nephew, Joe Buscarino. In accordance with Carols wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate.
