Betty G. Payne

Funeral services for Betty Francis Payne, 72, of Kershaw will be held at 1 o’clock Tuesday, December 10th at Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Walters and Rev. Thurmond Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at the Baker Funeral Home. Mrs. Payne died Friday, December 6th, Lexington Medical Center. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Bertha Roach Griffin and William Nay Griffin. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Payne was also a member of Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church Surviving are her husband of more than 50 years, William J. Payne Jr.; sons, James “Billy” Payne and Michael Lee Payne; grandchildren, Luke Payne and Harleigh Jo Payne. She is also survived by sisters, Patsy Kivett and Pansy Seegars (Dennis) all of Kershaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Jan Robinson and Nadine Hinson. Memorials may be made to Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church, 7980 Haile Gold Mine Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.
