Tina Boggs

Tina Crocker Boggs, 75, widow of Michael H. Boggs, died Friday, December 6, 2019, at the home of her sister. Born January 13, 1944, in Hopewell, VA, she was a daughter of the late James Edward Crocker and the late Verna McGee Crocker. She lived most of her life in Charlotte, NC and Rock Hill, SC. She retired from Terminix of Charlotte after 25 years of service. After she and Mike retired, they moved back to Sumter in 2011. Tina never had any children of her own, but loved her nieces and nephews as if they were hers. She was a very loving and generous person with a kind heart. She is survived by her sister, Linda Crocker Clark, a niece, Kristina C. Strickland (Charly), nephews, Daniel B. Clark (Gayle), James W. Crocker (Sheri), and Charles R. Crocker; Survivors also include three great-nieces, Alexis C. Yahnke (Trevor), Karly Strickland, and Kaitlyn Crocker; and two great-nephews, Daniel Clark, Jr. (Nikki) and Ryan Crocker. Ashley Strickland was like a great-niece to Tina. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, James R. Crocker. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Tuesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, 19 Hilliard Dr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sumter S.P.C.A., 1140 S. Guignard Dr., Sumter, SC 29150. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
