Dennis Michael "Mike" O'Neal

Dennis Michael "Mike" O'Neal, 75, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Mike was born in Princeton, Indiana on December 4, 1944 to James J. and Virginia O. (Davis) O'Neal. He served in the United States Navy during Vietnam on the USS Boxer II, LPH4 and also served during the Dominican Crisis as Hospital Corpsman. Mike retired as a parts manager working at different dealerships around the Tri-State area. He was an avid collector of stamps and other collectibles and enjoyed judging Mopar Cars at the Frog Follies. Above all else he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Mike is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna (Woolsey) O'Neal of Evansville, IN; daughter, Audrey Buerger (Erik) of Evansville, IN; his step daughter, Jenny Young (Ryan) of Boonville, IN; his son, Darby M. O'Neal of Evansville, IN; his mother, Virginia (Davis) O'Neal of Princeton, IN; a brother, Donald V. O'Neal (Mary Ann) of Princeton, IN; and grandchildren, Corey, Rynn and Gunner; niece and nephew, April Grangier and Ian O'Neal. Mike was preceded in death by his father, James J. O'Neal. The Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites at 10:00 am followed by a celebration of Mike's life on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Mike's friend Jerry Walden officiating. Burial will be held at 12:30 pm at Martin Cemetery in Littles, Indiana. Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 am until service time on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to any Humane Society of your choice.
