ANDERSON, IN-Priscilla A. (Huggins) Smith, 67, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness. She was born on November 15, 1952 in Decatur, Indiana to Dewey and Vesta (Jones) Huggins and has lived in the Alexandria area for most of her lifetime. Priscilla was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1970. She attended Indiana Business College. She worked as an optometry technician for Dr. Greg Tipton for 15 years and then Dr. Macha for 15 years, retiring in 2017. Priscilla enjoyed her euchre card club, spending time at the lake and reading novels. Survivors: Husband-David W. Smith-married April 12, 1975 Daughter-Brandy (Chris) Baldwin-Frankton Son-DJ (Sarah) Smith-Youngsville, North Carolina Grandchildren-Taylor Baldwin, Peyton Baldwin, Easton Smith, Abbott Smith and Berkley Smith 2 Sisters-Nelda (Larry) Hopper of Georgetown, Georgia, Kim (Jim) Reed-Alexandria Brother-Jerry (Marcia) Huggins-Georgetown, Georgia Brother-in-law-Lee Brewer-Wabash Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-Nina Brewer Services honoring Priscilla’s life and legacy will take place at 1 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria with Michael W. Owens officiating. Entombment will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. Friends may call at the Owens Funeral Home on Monday from 4 pm to 6 pm.
