Funeral services for Mr. J D Judd, age 78, of Smithville, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday December 8 at Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. Elmore Judd, Bro., Tim Judd, and Bro. Danny Lane will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lafever Cemetery in White County. His family will receive friend Saturday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Sunday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. JD passed away Thursday December 5, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born June 11, 1941 in Putnam County to the late Ernest Payne and Roberta Mae Pittman Judd. JD was a member of Scott Avenue Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Margaret Ramsey Judd, whom he married January 16, 1987; two daughters, Sheila (Richard) Allen of Cookeville, Tammy (Jason) Greenwood of Buffalo Valley; sister, Ruby (Bob) Fisher of Cookeville; two brothers, Bro. Elmore (Jo Ann) Judd of Sparta, Fred (Dean) Judd of Smithville; and two grandchildren, Chad Franklin and Dalton Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Justin and Bradley Lane, Dalton and Jason Greenwood, Richard Allen, and Chad Franklin. Dyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (931)526-7158.
