Paul W. Proeschel

Paul W. Proeschel, age 82, of Eaton, OH passed away Monday, June 06, 2016 at his residence. He was born December 31, 1933 in Hamilton, OH to the late Otto and Jenny Proeschel. Paul was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Eaton; was a lifelong Preble County dairy farmer; and he enjoyed fishing and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years Vera M. Proeschel, who passed away in 2005; and sister Mary Catherine Mann. He is survived by his wife Beverly (nee Boomershine) Proeschel; daughters Ruth (Keith) Meyer, Paula Murray and Linda (Arnie) Johnson; sons James (Paula) Proeschel, John (Diane) Proeschel, Joseph (Peggy) Proeschel, Andrew (Susan) Proeschel and Charles Simms; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brothers Robert (Betty) Proeschel and David Proeschel; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Grace Lutheran Church, 111 Lutheran Drive, Eaton, OH with Pastor Warren Reichert officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main St., Eaton, OH and from 9:00 to 11:00 am prior to services on Thursday at the church. I feel privileged to have been associated with Paul on Joy Prayer Group and 2nd Saturday. He was certainly a beautiful Christ follower. I extend condolences to all of his beloved family and to you Beverly who cared for him so well.

Love the picture of Paul, I remember him best when he lived at the home place on Woods dale Road.

That photo of Paul is just how I remember him. Beverley, when you and Paul prayed for someone at Second Saturday, they always wanted you and Paul to be their prayer person from that time on. Yuo wereboth such a blessing to everyone.
