Charles F. Beckwith, Sr., 76, of Blossvale, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Oneida Healthcare Center. Born in Rome on July 7, 1943, he was a son of the late Jesse “Hoop” and Alice (Treen) Beckwith. On September 6, 1969 he was united in marriage to Linda Phillips. She passed away July 1, 2018. Charles worked at Rome General Lumber for many years. He was one of thirteen children. His siblings were: sisters, Jean, Sally, Betty Lou, Shirley, Georgeanne, Bonnie, Diane, Debbie and Carol; and brothers, Richard, Jesse and Ronald. Charles is survived by two daughters, Constance (Amy) Bronson and Jessica (Jack Cullop) Beckwith; two sons, Charles (Audra) Beckwith, Jr. and Scott (Theresa) Beckwith; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Beckwith and his first wife, Mary Lou Young. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
