Carol Ann Dearing Allen, age 76, of Pascagoula, MS, earned her wings on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Carol was born on October 18, 1943 in Forrest City, AR, where she lived with her family until she met and married the love of her life, Stanley Ray Allen. They moved to Pascagoula, MS and raised their family. They were married for 51 beautiful years until Stanley went before her to Heaven in 2013. Carol will always be remembered as a kind, loving, caring, humbled, and selfless woman. Her family was everything to her. She was a wonderful mother and Mawmaw to all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many others that she called her own. Her favorite pastime was watching her New Orleans Saints play; she was a devout fan. Carol will truly be missed by her family and those that loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Ray Allen, her son, Stanley Franklin “Frankie” Allen, her mother, Edith McGary, her granddaughter, Sarah Sheffield, her great-granddaughter, Lilly Ann Sheffield, and her special sister-in-law, Doris Allen. Left to cherish her memory is her father, John McGary; sister, Linda Rutledge (Jim); brother, John “Skip” McGary (Lupita); son, Michael Ray Allen (Laura); daughters, Pamela Allen Sward ( Alan) and Charlotte Ann Allen Hinson (Craig); grandchildren, Laura Menard (CJ), Chrissy Muller, Josh Allen (Haley), Avery Sward, Alex Sward, Hope Hinson, Luke Hinson, Llana Allen and Lane Allen; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, family, and friends. The family wishes to thank Carol’s extended families at Sparrow Hills and Amelia’s Gardens. Also, thank you to very special Hospice nurses- Ramona Sward and Vicki Williams. A memorial service for Carol will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019, at Heritage Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Moss Point, MS.
