Steven York Obituary

Steven Wayne York Steven Wayne York of Lake Elsinore, CA, encountered an unexpected bout in his coronary infarction which then triggered a critical stop condition to his heart, entered into eternal rest on the morning of November 22, 2019 at the hospital in Murrieta, California. He was born on July 12, 1955, the son of Wayne A York and Sue E (Tomlinson), both from Wisconsin. Ladies man, outlaw and most of all a “funny dude”, Steven lost his last fight with his health on November 22, 2019 at the age of 64. The way he died is just like he lived; he wrote his own rules, he fought authority and paved his own way. As much as people knew hanging out with him may end up in a night of jail or a next morning sleep-in fest, he was the type of guy that people would drive out of their way to come hang out with him. Even with his big 6’5 1/2” frame, his kindheartedness would easily give the shirt off his own back for anyone in need, even if it was the last shirt he owned, to give. His acute awareness of the importance of a life lived with the ones he loved over any material possessions was handicapped by split families and the miles of separation to connect, which he blamed no one else for, except himself. He is survived by his beautiful children Jason Michael (Jessica) York, Megan Ann York-Cashman, Jesse Mathew York and Dylan Wayne York; younger siblings Robin, Robert, Tim and Terri; his grandchildren and nephews, as well as many loving family, extended family and friends. He was proceeded in death by both of his parents, Wayne and Sue, his dear and loving wife Mindy Raye, his daughter Lisa Marie and their doggie Sadie. Words can not express the appreciation that is felt for the doctors, nurses and staff at Rancho Springs Medical Center, the entire staff at Murrieta Valley Funeral Home, as well as his friends Mike, Sherri, Staphanie, Denny, Ann, Hud and George, for the kindness and care given to Steven during the battles he faced with his health and the assistance given to his little sister at his residence, after his passing. Following his wishes, he did not want a funeral. He just did not want the end of his life having people gawking at him in a coffin he or his family could not afford, to simply be buried in the dirt. The “big guy” sure did have a sense of humor, to say the least. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been set up in Steven’s name and Memorials may be made electronically, directly through your Banking Financial Institution, via electronic mail to: StevenWYorkfunding@gmail.com to offset the final expenses of his unexpected passing, for anyone who may be interested in giving. Well-wishers are encouraged to write a note of farewell online at: www.murrietavalleyfuneralhome.com A private service will be held, in his home state of Wisconsin. Steven wishes were to be buried in the Cemetery, by his Dad. Please note his change of address to his new residence: Steven Wayne York Stairway Lane Heaven, USA You will be truly missed, Steven. May you ultimately be at peace with your loving wife Mindy and doggie Sadie, in Heaven now. “Finally Home, my brother...”
