Rosemary Scott Kirkland Obituary

Our beloved Rosemary Scott Kirkland, 85, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 30, 2019 in Mesa, Arizona surrounded by family. Born February 14th, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, Rosemary worked as an Executive Secretary for Duro-Test Corporation. She married Walter Scott in 1954. They had 3 children and eventually found their way to Tempe, AZ, where Rosemary continued her career at ITT Cannon in Phoenix. When ITT closed their offices, she embarked on her second career and became a successful Realtor. Walter passed away in 1999. Rosemary was hard working, fiercely independent, and always faithful to her Lord. She was tremendously active, an avid golfer and bowler even throughout her later years. She was beautiful, compassionate, caring, and loving. Her heart was pure and generous to all. She can now rest in her Saviors arms. She was dearly loved by all and will be deeply missed by all she touched. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 5 years, Lon Kirkland; Children, Laura Kacmarcik, Walter Scott (Tony), Joanna Robertson, Becky Hagen, Deborah Kirkland; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Rosemary will reunite in Heaven with her parents James and Thelma Guida, brothers, Peter and Pat, and sister, Josephine. The family wishes to thank Pastor Richard Koerselman, the warmhearted caregivers of Hospice of the Valley and all the friends who worked tirelessly to make her last days comfortable and peaceful. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
