Leona Flis, 100, entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2019. Born in Jersey City, raised in Elizabeth and a lifelong resident of Cranford she is predeceased by her husband John, sister Pauline and brother Edward. She is survived by nephews Bill, Edward, Jeffrey and Kevin and nieces Kristi and Jane. Leona is a graduate of Battin High School and Newark State Teachers College. Leona spent her career teaching in the Elizabeth school system. Friends are invited to bid farewell at Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Avenue, Cranford on Friday December 6th from 10:30 - 12:30. Interment at St. Gertrude's Cemetery to immediately follow.
