Charmaine L. Ploof Omer, Michigan Charmaine Louise Ploof, 71, was raised up to heaven, Monday, December 2, 2019, to be with parents and her brother. She was born September 7, 1948 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Louis C. and Anna H. (Yanna) Ploof. Charmaine graduated from Standish Sterling High School in 1967 and then attended Sienna Heights College, graduating in 1971 with her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She completed her Masters Degree in history from Central Michigan University in 1972. Charmaine proudly served the Omer community as a dedicated librarian for over 30 years. She will always be remembered for her generosity and acts of kindness. Charmaine is survived her 7 siblings; William (Frankie) Ploof, Robert Ploof, Susan (Dennis) Stine, Mary Miller, Charles Ploof, Catherine (Jimmie) Davenport and Jane Ploof. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Charmaine was pre-deceased by her parents and a brother, Fredrick Ploof. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:00 am at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic, Standish, Michigan with the Rev. Fr. David Parsch officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Standish. The family will greet family and friends at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan Friday, December 6, 2019, from 4pm till 8pm where a Rosary will be recited at 7pm. Charmaine will lie in-state at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church Saturday from 10am till time of Mass at 11 am. Charmaine’s family would like to thank the many friends and acquaintances in the Omer and Arenac Community for their support and kindness.
