Doris Virginia Loper, 91, passed away peacefully December 2nd, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Loper was born August 1st, 1928 in Sunflower Plantation, Mississippi to the late Jasper and Mary McIntyre. She was a teacher in Mississippi and Virginia for many years. Mrs. Loper was an active member of several Baptist churches in Mississippi, Virginia and South Carolina. Doris loved her church and was active in missions. She was a past president of the W.M.U. and taught the Sunday school class for many years. Doris was an accomplished Avon sales representative for over 20 years. Mrs. Loper will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who inspired and touched everyone who was blessed enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed. Left to cherish her memory is: two daughters, Vicki Richard and husband Edward; Peggy Preston; son, Terrell Loper; seven grandchildren: Michael Preston, Robert Preston, Felicia Richard, Jessica Richard, Rebecca Richard, Tyler Loper and Sara Loper; two great-grandchildren: Dominic Middleton and Michael Preston and numerous extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by both parents; husband, David Loper; daughter, Debbie Jeffries; grandson, Eric Loper and four brothers and seven sisters. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday December 6th, 2019 at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations. A celebration of life will be held at 9:30 am, Saturday December 7th, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
