Obituary
Robert Alton Crowe Jr., age 70 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Thursday, July 03, 2014. He was born November 14, 1943 in Lavinia, Tennessee to the late Mr. Robert A. Crowe Sr. and Mrs. Ruth Hatcher Crowe. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years and served in the U.S. Army as a pilot for 19 years in Korea and during the Vietnam War. Mr. Crowe was a man of many talents and trades. He owned and operated The Pet Stop in Douglasville, Ga., was a private investigator, had been taking care of horses as a farrier and most recently performed stand-up comedy in the surrounding area. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Joe Crowe and Fredrick Crowe. Survivors include his wife, Linda Cottrell Crowe of Carrollton; daughter, Teresa Rogers of Bowdon, GA; brothers, John Wesley Crowe of Medina, TN and Jimmy Dale Crowe of Memphis, TN; and three grandchildren. Memorial service will be conducted Sunday, July 06, 2014 at 5:00 PM at McIntosh Reserve Park with Dr. Susan McGowan officiating. In keeping with the family’s wishes the body has been cremated. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Veteran’s Affairs of to the Wounded Warriors Project. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com.
