Millie Rubin Obituary

Millicent “Millie” Rubin. Beloved wife of 65 years to Elliott Rubin. Loving mother of Marilee, Marcy, and Scott Rubin. Cherished Nana of Alex (Colleen), Crystal, Carli, and Joshua. Dear sister of Herbie Natker and Merrill (the late DeeDee) Natker. She will be greatly missed by her cats Lovie and Sweetie. Special thanks to Delia Lopez who was not only Millie’s caregiver, but was a good friend and a cherished family member to Millie and her whole family. Crystal in particular, having grown up with Millie and Elliott and developing a special bond with them, will greatly miss her Nana. Millie was sweet and caring, was a big animal lover, loved to entertain and make people happy, loved nature, she had a big heart and a great sense of humor and loved people, traveling the world, and theater. She was a gourmet cook, ran a catering company, was a wonderful decorator, was incredibly smart and outgoing, an avid reader, went on an archeological dig all on her own, acted in community theater, and above all, loved taking care of her family. Graveside service Friday 1:30PM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Orphans of the Storm would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements by Mitzvah Memorial Funerals, 630-Mitzvah (630-648-9824) or www.MitzvahFunerals.com.
