Neva Alta Fisher Obituary

Neva Alta Fisher, age 84, passed away on December 2, 2019 at her home in Union Nebraska. Neva was born in Gage County on a farm. She is the daughter of Clayton R. and Alta G. (Scott) Craig. While growing up, she lived on various farms in Gage county, going to various schools, one of which was called Corn Cob College, graduating from Liberty High School. Neva was a Cheerleader, pitcher on the softball team, and a volleyball player. She married Duane Fisher on May 23, 1953, sharing 66 years of marriage. They had residences in Beatrice, a country home by Filley, and again by Blair Nebraska, before moving to Luling, Louisiana, and then Evansville, Indiana. From there they moved to Nehawka, Nebraska, and finally to Union, where they have been many years. Neva worked at various places, including Pendleton’s, and American Meter before retiring. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Duane K Fisher of Union; son, Garold Lee Fisher of St Helena, Mexico; daughter, Cheryl Ann Fisher of Nebraska City; son, Lewis Glenn Fisher and wife Chris of Knoxville, IA; ten grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, as well as many friends and neighbors she loved. She was preceded in death by her parents and twelve brothers and sisters.
