Cormier, Cornelius 1928-2019 With peace in our hearts we share the news of the passing of Cornie (Cornelius) Cormier on December 2nd in Kingston Ontario. We, his family and friends are the custodians of many wonderful memories and much wisdom that he shared with us during his life. He leaves his wife, Lorraine, who was his dear friend and constant companion during their 66 years of marriage. His children who will continue to cherish his memory are Anne (Scott Woodall) of Kingston ON, Andy of Nelson BC, Anthony of Victoria BC, Mike (Patricia Hendrickson) of Calgary AB, and Mary-Pat of Boston. The grandchildren and great grandchildren who were privileged to know and love him are Catherine (Broderick Mauro), Nola Woodall, Julie (Jesse Glasspoole); Shayla Madrone; Margaret (Dylan Wright), Peter and Andrew Cormier; Emerson, David, Nicolas and Charlotte Wayland; Autumn Hay, Shafiq Madrone; Jack and Sloane Glasspoole. He has joined his parents, Peter and Minnie Cormier of New Waterford, NS, and his brothers, Leo, Wilfred, Bernie and Eddie, and his sisters Rita and Irene. His brothers John, Art and Isaac mourn his loss. Visitation will at James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston) on Friday, December 6th from 2-4pm and from 7-9pm. Funeral mass will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (490 Days Road, Kingston) on Saturday, December 7th at 10:30am. In memory of Cornie, please share a smile, a prayer, and if you wish, a donation to the Shepherd’s of Good Hope, (256 King Edward Ave, Ottawa, ON K1N 7M1) where he was privileged to serve as a volunteer for 28 years.
