Barbara Ann Hayes Leatham, 61 Years old Passed away peacefully at home from a stroke, in Citrus Heights, California. Monday December 2, 2019 She was born May 6, 1958 in Torrance California Parents John Henry Hayes and Catherine Helen Knue Siblings: Larry Hayes Connie Koskela Carol Parker Sharon Roberts John Hayes Mary Davis Kelley La Marr Chris Cottenstette Brent Hayes Tami Goerzen Linda Colella Married to Robert Craig Leatham, September 22, 1994 in Sacramento California Graduated from La Sierra High School, Carmichael California Employment Mervyn’s Croker Bank Wells Fargo Bags and Baggage Bureau of Reclamation San Juan Water District Citrus Heights Water District She was a Master Gardener, Conservationist. Taught children water conservation. Constructed 5 different types of demonstration gardens, conducted tours, taught the public about conserving water. Meter reader, leak detector and landscape Auditor. As a Master Gardener, volunteered at the California State Fair. She’s lived in Torrance, Sacramento, Dunsmuir, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights. Hobbies Family events and get togethers, Quilting and Sewing, Hiking, Photography, Cooking and baking, camping at the beach, mountains, and Yosemite. Traveling to San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, the ocean. Attending San Francisco Giants baseball games. Having annual “Breakfast in the Park”, and cooks for all the guests as her birthday present to them. Played Volleyball and softball in High School, and community softball and volleyball leagues. Baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1997. Sealed to her husband Robert in the Oakland California Temple. A Lifelong member of the Rusch Park Ward where she worked with infants and toddlers, taught in Primary, and was a sports coach for the Young Women. Volunteered many years as a cook for the annual Girls camp. Taught the woman about gardening and landscaping. Survived by her husband Robert Craig Leatham, daughter Jennifer Rebecca Ann Barry, brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and her precious puppy “willow”. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at East Lawn, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento California 95621. Viewing at 9 am, Memorial at 11 am. Luncheon to follow at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7009 Van Maren Lane, Citrus Heights ca 95621

I have known barbara over 50 years. She was the funniest sweetest girl. We did many things over our younger years. Camping swimming baseball and so many other things. God has just gotten an angel and will love and miss her forever..
