Benjamin Reuben Quesinberry Obituary

Ben was born in Santa Rosa, CA on November 12, 1979 to Kurtes and Nancy Quesinberry. Ben grew up in a military family alongside his two brothers and sister. Ben joined the United States Air Force in the late 90’s and served for 6 years. In 2004, Ben met his beautiful bride Ashley, while he was stationed at Vandenberg Air Force base in California. They were later married on May 27, 2006. Shortly after getting married, Ben became a police officer in Palo Alto, CA until his medical retirement in 2010. Together, they were given two beautiful children, Natalie Marie-Lynn and Anson John Gabriel. Ben graduated with a Bachelors degree from Brandman University not long after his retirement. Eventually, God make it clear to Ben’s family that they were to move to Arizona and it’s there that Ben began his career in juvenile justice. Sadly, in 2016 Ben was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and began his 3+ year battle with nasopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma. Through all the trials cancer brought, Ben’s faith remained steadfast to the very end. Ben was a man who enjoyed being active and sharing experiences with his family. At a very young age, he found his passions for skating and surfing. He loved to share these hobbies with others, especially his children. Some of his greatest memories were spent in the ocean. Later in life he developed a love and gifting in photography. Ben found salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ as a young adult. His love for his Savior developed in him an eagerness that others would come to the same saving understanding of the gospel. Ben had a zeal for mentoring young adults which was evident in his work with youth. Ben is remembered by many for his wit, his rare smile, wisdom beyond his time, fierce loyalty, strength to lead, drive to protect, and a strong desire that many would come to know the same saving faith he did. Ben is preceded in death by his older brother, Gabriel. He is survived by his wife Ashley, his two children, Natalie and Anson, father Kurtes and wife Juanita, mother Nancy, his sister Kawaii, brothers Nathan and Anthony, aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 6, 2019 at Canyon Bible Church located at 8582 E Eastridge Dr, Prescott Valley, AZ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canyon Bible Church's Youth Ministry. Funds will be used for the student ministry department. Ben's desire is that the gospel would continue to go forth in saving power. Young people were dear to his heart. We will pray that these funds would be used in this ministry to bring great glory to our Lord. Donations can be sent to the church directly, at the following address: Canyon Bible Church of Prescott, 122 N. Cortez St. Suite 317 Prescott, AZ 86301, please include Quesinberry Memorial in the memo line.
