Jerry Lee Smith of Centerville, Washington passed away in Portland, Oregon on November 22, 2019 at the age of 65. He was born in Vancouver, Washington on January 25, 1954 to Betty Jo (Wyzard) and Gilbert Gene Smith. On October 4, 1971 Jerry married Peggy Lucille Sessoms in Goldendale, Washington. Mr. Smith worked as a boiler room engineer for 43 years. He was a member of Majesty Baptist Church from 2010 to 2016 and Goldendale Bible Baptist Church from 2016 to 2019. Jerry enjoyed crabbing and fishing as well as gardening, camping, building and fixing things. He loved spending time with his family and any free time he had was spent with them. Jerry is survived by his wife Peggy Smith of Centerville; brother Gilbert Smith; daughter and son-in-law Cristina and Brandon Forgey of Woodland, Washington; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Julianne Smith of Centerville; granddaughters Vanessa and Hailey Forgey and Leslie and Kelly Jo Smith; grandsons Caleb, Joshua and Titus Smith; and one great grandson, Kash Stephens, due in March 2020. A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church in Goldendale. Mr. Smith was laid to rest in the Centerville Cemetery.
