Betty Jean and John T. Ingram Obituary

Betty Jean Ingram (nee Boyer) was reunited with her beloved husband of 43 years, John T. "Ted" Ingram, on Friday, November 22, 2019. Ted preceded Betty in death, passing away February 6, 2014 in Florida. Ted proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a bronze star and Purple Heart recipient. Betty came to Ohio to live closer to family after 25 years in Florida. She spent her last years happily being cared for by her niece Carol, and gained a new family with her niece's children and grandchildren. She was very special to all of them, and will be missed with her witty sense of humor, and her big heart. Betty and Ted were preceded in death by Ted's children: John (Lois) Ingram, Jim Ingram, and Joanne Jelvik; Betty’s brother Ronald (Marie) Boyer, and her sisters Charlotte (Carl) Horvath and Barbara (Marvin) Davenport. They are survived by Ted’s sons: Jerry (Jan) Ingram and Jack (Linda) Ingram; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. They will be inurned together on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, Ohio. All to meet at the cemetery gates promptly at 1:45 PM. A memorial luncheon will be held 3:30 PM on Monday at American House Senior Living, 8400 S. Bedford Rd, Macedonia, Ohio 44056. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in their memory to Crossroads Hospice, who compassionately cared for Betty (www.crossroadshospice.com). Arrangements by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, Northfield, Ohio.
