Doris Mesenbrink
Doris Kurtz Mesenbrink 101, of East Troy and formerly of Lake Geneva, WI passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at her residence. Doris was the beloved wife of the late Paul for 61 years. Mother of Joyce and Camilla, grandmother of 3. She was the eldest of 10 children. Her parents were Augusta and Everett Kurtz. Doris is survived by 2 brothers as well as several nieces nephews and grandchildren. She was a Breast Cancer survivor for 10 years. Doris spent more than 52 years in her chosen profession as a Registered Nurse primarily in Chicago, Lake Forest, Libertyville area. She also served her community in Girl Scouts, Presidents of P.T.A., Women’s Club, and Business and Professional Women’s Club. As time allowed, she and her husband traveled extensively in the United States and abroad with membership in Friendship Force as well as entertaining Friendship Force members in their home. She was a member of Lake Seniors Club and First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an active participant in RSVP. Doris was always busy sewing, knitting, cooking, gardening and sharing her home with friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
