Roy Anthony Schneider, 86, of Arcadia California passed away on Friday November 22,2019. Services for Roy will be at 10 am on Thursday December 5th at Holy Angeles Catholic Church in Arcadia. Reception and Celebration of Life will follow at Zen Buffet in Monrovia. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Cabot & Sons Funeral Directors in Pasadena. Roy was born in Cleveland Ohio June 3, 1933, where he grew up with his parents, Anthony and Meriam Schneider, and his younger brother Richard. He eventually settled in southern California in the early 60’s and started a family. Roy’s passion for classic cars made a mark on several car clubs in California and across the nation. He was a sought-after head judge at the Pebble Beach Concours De Elegance, for several years. He’s a published author of books and articles on classic cars, Cadillacs, V-16’s, and LaSalle’s. It wasn’t uncommon for Roy to have a garage and yard full of classic cars. His other interests included architecture, antiques, real estate, and travel. He traveled the globe with no limitations. The curiosity tapped from his interests was all he needed to embark on adventures no matter where they were. Roy is survived by his wife Sherly, whom he’s been married to for 37 years, three daughters, Kim, Renee, Analyn, and granddaughter Reese. “In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one will ever fill.” He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather and friend. He will be missed.
