Corine F. Green

Corine Forrest Green, 87, of Jacksonville Florida, passed away on November 21, 2019 at her daughter and son-in-laws home (Lisa and Thomas Cowart) in the Ozarks, Arkansas. She was comforted at the time of her passing by her daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter Amanda, Niece Dorelle, Pastor Justin Knight, and nurse Bryan Martin. She was born to Forrest and Lilly Wilkinson on November 16, 1932 in Jacksonville Florida. She married the late Elwyn Walter Green in 1948 and they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary prior to his passing. Corine is survived by her sons: Mason Spruce Green (Ava), Jeffery Elwyn Green (Susan), and Lance Galin Green; and daughter, Lisa June Green (Thomas); grandchildren: Jason Green (Katheryn), Rebecca Pugh (Mike), Christopher Green, Jennifer Green (wife-Mindy), Amanda Karen Burnett (Partner-Joe Del Castillo), and Deystany Danylczuk; great-grandchildren: Mikael Green, Julianne and Chase Pugh; step-grandchildren: Caden and Molly Smith and Joseph Del Castillo III, and Jewel Del Castillo; nephews: Dr. Richard Allen (Dorelle) and Lester Allen (Cindy). Corine was predeceased by her parents, Forrest and Lilly Wilkinson; her loving husband, Elwyn; infant daughter, Lisa Lilly Green; brother, Bill Wilkinson; and sister, Barbara June Allen. Corine loved her Lord and Savor and is in His presence rejoicing in all that God has promised his believers. She never hesitated to witness to others and will have many stars in her crown! Corine was a faithful wife and mother. She was employed as a telephone operator for both Sprint and St. Vincent’s Medical Center. She loved traveling with her husband for not only vacations, but many Mission trips that led them to help build orphanages and help the needy in several countries including Russia and Peru. She loved to read and completed 114 books last year! She never passed a thrift shop she didn’t want to stop at and loved playing RummyQ every week with her sons and girlfriends. She was always ready to host holidays at her home and dinner parties and opened her door to family and friends alike. The visitation will be from 1:00PM-2:00PM on Wednesday, November 27th, 2019 at Jacksonville Memory Gardens (Orange Park) Florida. The funeral service will immediately follow from 2:00PM-3:00PM. Reverend Richard Green Allen will be officiating. Interment will be at Jacksonville Memory Gardens (Orange Park) In lieu of flowers donations are appreciated to either Hospice of the Ozarks, 811 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, Arkansas, 72653 or Teen Challenge SuperThrift, 868 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, Florida, 32065.
