Brian E. Funk, 53, of Newburg, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 in the Holy Spirit Hospital. He was born October 5, 1966 in Chambersburg, PA. Brian was a son of the late Upton K. and Doris Pugh Funk. He was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Shippensburg. Brian attended Harrisburg Area Community College and the Hagerstown Community College. He was a 1984 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School and a member of the Son’s of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, Shippensburg. Brian is survived by his brother, Charles (Tonya) Funk, a niece, Cassidy Funk and a nephew, Carter Funk all of Shippensburg, his companion, Jane Sterner and her children Christopher, Roseanna and Katheryn all of Newburg. Memorial services will be held Monday, December 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Remembrance Chapel at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. George W.
