Brian Funk

Brian E. Funk, 53, of Newburg, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 in the Holy Spirit Hospital. He was born October 5, 1966 in Chambersburg, PA. Brian was a son of the late Upton K. and Doris Pugh Funk. He was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Shippensburg. Brian attended Harrisburg Area Community College and the Hagerstown Community College. He was a 1984 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School and a member of the Son’s of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, Shippensburg. Brian is survived by his brother, Charles (Tonya) Funk, a niece, Cassidy Funk and a nephew, Carter Funk all of Shippensburg, his companion, Jane Sterner and her children Christopher, Roseanna and Katheryn all of Newburg. Memorial services will be held Monday, December 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Remembrance Chapel at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. George W. Heckard and The Rev. Judi A. Herrold. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace United Church of Christ, 121 East Orange Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
