Arvella M. Searle

Oasis, Utah - Arvella Meacham Searle, age 79, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, joined her beloved husband and children in Heaven on November 22, 2019 at her home in Oasis. She was born July 24, 1940 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Heber Alma and Lucille Alice Neilson Meacham. She married the love of her life, Gordon Max Searle December 24, 1956 in Delta and they were married for 53 wonderful years before his death on April 30, 2010. Arvella and Gordy owned and operated the Wagon Wheel Tavern in Delta for 20 years. Arvella loved the bar and enjoyed meeting people from all over the country. Her sassy, stubborn attitude and smooth dance moves will be greatly missed. She enjoyed baking, cooking, making people laugh, but most of all, her kids. She is survived by her children: Tonya Anderson of Mesa, Arizona; Debbie Reynolds of Montana; Ronda Varela Bason of Ottumwa, Iowa; Lorie and George Phillips of Magna; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; brothers: Ken Meacham and Deloy Meacham, both of Nevada and Doug Meacham of Colorado She is preceded in death by her parents, Heber and Lucille Meacham; her husband, Gordon Max Searle; three sons: Rick Searle, Gordon Max Searle, Jr. and Joe Searle; a grandson, Michael Anderson; and siblings: Heber Meacham, Arda Avales, Nina Palmer, Barbara Cook, Mary Muir, Dorthy Halsey, Dean Meacham and Dwaine Meacham. In lieu of flowers contributions are being accepted at Zions Bank under the "Arvella Searle Contributions Account." Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Oasis Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Deseret Oasis LDS Ward Chapel in Deseret, Tuesday morning from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Oasis Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
