Francis Gerald Myers

Francis Myers, 86, of South Burlington passed away on November 22, 2019. He was born to Isadore and Frances (Sullivan) Myers. Francis graduated from Cathedral High School in Burlington and attended St. Michael's College in Winooski. He worked at Gracey's Store in South Burlington for many years with his brother, Paul, and in retirement, for CRW Woods in Williston. He was active in his community of faith as he served with the Knights of Columbus brotherhood. Along with Camilla, they served at funeral luncheons and in the Blue Army for many years. They also worked for several years with special needs ministries for children and adults. Francis is survived by his wife Camilla (Sylvester), their children, Patricia Myers, Jacqueline (Paul) Quintal, Joseph (Mary) Myers, Bernadette (Maureen) Myers-Tinney, Andrew Myers, Camilla (Doug) Perkins, Edward Myers, 20 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Francis also leaves his sister Genevieve (William) Croll, his brother Charles (JoAnne) Myers, sister-in-law Ivey Myers, brother-in-law Leonard (Mary) Sylvester, and many neices, nephews, great neices and nephews, and many cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Delima (Bernard) Wright, Bernadette (Ron) Hart, Isadore Myers, Paul Myers, brother- and sister-in-law, Paul and Lorraine Cameron, grandson, David Perkins, and nephew, Paul Myers. The family is very grateful to all of Dad's caregivers at Birchwood Terrace, TLC, UVM Medical Center, and the Respite House. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Ready Funeral Home, 261 Shelburne Road, Burlington, VT. A recitation of the rosary will be led by the Blue Army at 3:30pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 11:30 am at St. John Vianney Church, 160 Hinesburg Road, South Burlington, VT. Burial will follow at Resurrection Park.
