Madeline J. Hall (Madge) passed away in Riddle Hospital on November 22, 2019 at the age of 77, surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Madge graduated from Saint Maria Goretti High School in 1959. Madge worked as a secretary/administrative assistant for over 33 years and retired from Independence Blue Cross in 2009. Madge resided in Ridley Township, Delaware County for over 46 years. Until her illnesses, Madge was an active parishioner at Notre Dame de Lourdes church in Swarthmore, PA. Madge was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, cousin and friend. She especially adored her three nieces, nephew, and four grandchildren. Madge loved to socialize, dine out and enjoy her sweets and wine. She looked forward every year to the Mummers Parade and spending Irish Weekend with extended family. Madge spent the last years of her life battling chronic spinal pain and an aggressive form of leukemia. Her family is grateful for the nurses, hospice staff and home healthcare aides who assisted during Madge’s last weeks and is comforted in the knowledge that Madge is now pain-free in heaven with her parents, siblings and cousins. Madge is the daughter of the late Madeline Campbell and William E. Hall. She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Billy, Jack and Eileen. She is survived by her loving children, Michele Adkins (Matt) and Andrew Ermililo (Chris) and will be greatly missed by her brother, Joe and sister-in-law, Maria. Beloved “Grammy” to Tim, Taylor, Calder, Trista and grand-dogs, Trevor and Libby. Devoted “Aunt Madgio” to Liz, Ryan, Kelsey (Jimmy) and Meghan (Jimmy).
