Mrs. Eula Mae Hawes Burns Thomson, Georgia Obituary

Mrs. Eula Mae Hawes Burns

Mrs. Eula Mae Hawes Burns, was born on Saturday, October 15, 1949 to both the late Grady and Frances Hawes. She departed this life on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta GA. Eula graduated from the former Blanchard High School of Columbia County, GA. During her employment history, she worked for Columbia County School System of Georgia as a bus aid for many years. Eula was baptized at an early age at the Friendship Baptist Church of Appling, GA, and served faithfully on the Usher board until her health failed. Eula Mae Hawes Burns was married to Cluese (Peter) Burns. To this union, three children were born, one of which is deceased, Chester Burns. Not only was our beloved Eula Mae Hawes Burns a kind and loving-hearted person, she had a heart of gold and would do anything she could for anyone. She always carried a sweet smile on her face. It is without a doubt that she is a very important part of our family tree, and it is a true fact that she will be dearly missed from our day to day lives. She leaves behind to forever cherish her memories: a daughter, Rachel Burns; a son, Stevie Burns; eight grandchildren, De’Anthony Huguley, De’Angelo Huguley, Teneasha Taylor, Krishaun Ketchup, Juanesha Jordan, Miguel Jordan, Mya Jordan and Nigel Burns; six great-grandchildren, Amari Taylor, Za’kharia Hoyle, Khloe Huguley, Legend Taylor, Kamryn Hoyle and Kayshaun Ketchup; six sisters, Myrtis Bennett, Joann (Julian) Benning, Evelyn Jessie, Peggy Hill, Francine Wright and Beatrice Lamkin; six brothers, Cleveland Hawes, Leon Hawes, Michael (Trish) Hawes, Mitchell Hawes, Gary (Laura) Hawes and Rodney Hawes; a close friend, Walter Burns; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
