Edna Grace Ginn Crumpler, 98, died Thursday morning, November 21, 2019, at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehab Center. A native of Greene County, she was born October 24, 1921, the daughter of Troy and Rena Barrow Ginn. Mrs. Crumpler was a retired seamstress and a longtime member of Fort Run PFWB Church. She resided in the Shine Community until her health began to decline and required her to move into an assisted care environment. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Crumpler in 1985; and a son, Troy Malcolm “Mac” Crumpler in 2015; and daughter-in-law, Janice C. Crumpler. Her surviving family includes her sons, Howard Crumpler and wife Dorene of Clyde, and Thomas Harold Crumpler and wife Loretta of Pikeville; sisters, Gertha Benton, Reba James and husband Frank, and Brenda Sauls and husband Wilson, all of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, November 24, at Fort Run PFWB Church with Reverend Larry Turlington and Reverend Ronnie Heath officiating. Interment will follow at the Snow Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Harold and Loretta Crumpler, 1025 Nor Am Road, Pikeville, NC.
