Mrs. Ida E. Welch, age 97, of Corsicana passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at County Meadows in Corsicana. She was born on September 2, 1922 in Krum, Texas to Albert O. McMinn and Nellie McDowell McMinn. Ida graduated from high school and worked as a salesperson for Home A. Harris and Company in Dallas, Texas. She met and married Pastor Robert Ashworth Welch in Midland, Texas on March 28, 1942. She spent the rest of her life as a dedicated, wife, mother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Pastor Robert A. Welch. Her parents; and her siblings; Milton Omen McMinn, Alvin Harliss McMinn and Gwen Hansen. Ida is survived by her children; Nell Wanda Kent, Ellen Janine Fuller and husband Thomas, Joanne Mantolou and husband John, and David Welch. She has four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren that will forever cherish her memories. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Northside Baptist Church in Corsicana with Pastor Rick Lamb officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas with Robert Barclay, James Barclay, Joshua Fuller, Bea Fuller, Steve Reed, Chase Paschal, Blake Fuller and Thomas Fuller serving as pallbearers.
