Rose Ramirez Hinojos was born November 14, 1952 in Brush, Colorado to Lucio Gregoria Ramirez. She was called home on November 19, 2019 in Wichita, Kansas. She was raised in Brush, Colorado and graduated from Brush High School in 1972. She married Reyes Hinojos Sr. on July 26, 1980 in Fort Morgan and moved to Garden City Kansas that same day. They have been residents of Garden City for 36 years. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and infant daughter, Rosa Aurelia Hinojos. She enjoyed listening to Christian music, spending time with her grandchildren, reading her Bible, coloring, drawing, crocheting blankets, painting, baking, and making tortillas. Above all she loved talking to people about God. She was a happy, loving, caring mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and a beloved daughter of God. She dedicated her time to her church with all the brothers and sisters up until her illness progressed. She is survived by her husband-Reyes Hinojos, Sr. of the home; 5 children-Reyes Hinojos Jr. of Garden City, Aurelia Mendoza of Garden City, Ruth Marie Hinojos of Larned, Caleb Hinojos of Garden City & Phebe Anna Hinojos of Garden City; 10 Grandchildren-Mardoqueo O. Hinojos, Natalia E. Hinojos, Miguel A. Hinojos, Amadues J. and Carolina C. Hinojos, Giovanni O. Hinojos, Victor, & Mireya Mendoza, Reyes Hinojos III, Leah Ruth Hinojos; 4 sisters; 4 brothers; numerous nieces and nephews & many brother and sisters in God through her church, The Church of God of The First Born. A Vigil Service will be held 7:30- 9:00 pm Friday November 22, 2019 and Funeral Service will be 11:30 am Saturday November 23, 2019 with Pastor John Janas officiating, both at The Church of God of the Firstborn at 2909 W. Mary St, Garden City, KS 67846. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will start Friday November 22, 2019 from 11:00 am until Vigil Service time at the Church of God of the Firstborn.
