Donna Jean Nissen
Donna Jean Nissen, daughter of Gabriel and Loretta (Besaw) Pegum, was born on September 13, 1935 at her parent's home in Graettinger. She passed away on November 19, 2019 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 84 years.<br><br> Donna attended Graettinger Schools. On August 19, 1954 she was united in marriage to Norman Nissen in Petersburg, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Graettinger, where Donna was a homemaker, provided daycare, and did housekeeping.<br><br> Donna was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger where she was active in her church circle. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, and baking. She was always up for completing a jigsaw puzzle or a word find book. Donna enjoyed many collections throughout the years; including teapots, chickens, spoons, birdhouses, and African Violets. Donna's top priority was spending time with her family and the ones that she loved.<br><br> Donna is survived by her husband of 65 years, Norman Nissen of Graettinger; her children Norma (Mike) Krogman of Garner, IA, Greg (Karissa) Nissen of Miles City, MT, and Julie (John) Molacek of Willmar, MN; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Mary (Bill) Libby of Streator, IL, Donald "Fib" Pegum of Key West, FL, Darril "Red" Pegum of Ruthven, IA, and Peggy Libby of Streator, IL; and many nieces and nephews.<br><br> She is preceded in death by her parents, her father and mother-in-law Fred and Anna Nissen, and her brother-in-law LaVerne Nissen. <br><br>September 13, 1935 - November 19, 201909/13/193511/19/2019
