Minnie Walker Obituary

Minnie Walker was born March 29, 1917 in Haynesville, LA. She passed away November 19, 2019 at the age of 102. Minnie met her husband, the late Albert Walker, shortly before moving to Michigan. She remained a resident of Michigan for the rest of her life. Minnie was the beloved mother of Aretha Dye, the late Beautry Walker, Albert Walker Jr., the late Thurmon Walker (Flossie Walker), Edward Walker, Vera Moore, Valencia Horatio, and Earl Cureton. She is also survived by many dear grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Minnie was a positive and upbeat person. You could always see her laughing and smiling, and she truly enjoyed a good joke. Minnie loved to sing, and she especially loved the Kingdom melodies. Her children continue her passion with their singing as she fostered a love of music within all of her children. She loved reading the Bible and always prayed. Minnie was a very strong person, but at the same time she was sweet and kind. Everyone has such fond memories of her, and would always remark how personable and hospitable she was. She loved having fun and most of all Minnie loved spending time with her family and having everyone around. She will never be forgotten. Private family services to be held. "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God." - 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 Funeral Home: A.J.
