Charles John Armstrong, 54, of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Waco. Charles was born December 10, 1964 in Fairfield to parents Leonard Henry and Sadie Lucero Armstrong. He married Pamela Ann Markwardt on October 7, 1984 and she preceded him in death on October 22, 2005. Charles was a life long resident of Freestone County and was a retired heavy equipment operator. He loved auto racing, his grandchildren and especially his great-grandchild. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and two brothers, Kelly and Wayne Armstrong. Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Sadie Armstrong of Texico, NM; four daughters, Alicia Bonner and husband Kenneth of Fairfield; Amanda Armstrong and husband Terry Nunley of Fairfield; Kelly Armstrong of Fairfield; Tisha Fiscus and husband Jeremy of Willis, TX; nine grandchildren, Riley Armstrong, Bryson Bonner, Kenlee Bonner, Haylee Harcrow, Chelsea Nunley, Savannah Nunley, Kaylie Lehman, Kyndal Fiscus and Karlee Fiscus; one great-granddaughter, Kinslee Harcrow; two sisters, Debbie Campbell and husband Keith of Whitehouse, TX; Teresa Cowden and husband John of Crosby, TX; one brother, Jerry Armstrong of Texico, NM.
