Garman Willard Grimmett, 85, of Oak Hill, WV went to be with our Lord on November 19, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House. Born February 14, 1934 at Ansted, WV. Garman was a US Army veteran, member of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene and past member of Gideons International. He spend many years as a bondsman, car salesman and insurance salesman. Garman was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Leona Grimmett, brothers, Gene, Ralph and Fred Grimmett as well as sisters, Helen Layaou, Evelyn Novobilsky and son, Mark Grimmett. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 28 years, Corina Callahan Grimmett, son Bryan Grimmett and wife Beth of Raleigh, NC, Richard Callahan and wife Stephanie of Columbus, GA; daughters Diana Janney and husband John of Oak Hill, Cathy Joines and husband Bryan of Fayetteville and Sue Puckett and husband John of Oak Hill; grandchildren Brad and Angie Surface, Jeff and Katie Janney, Dustin and Courtney Fowler, John and Felicia Puckett, Nicholas and Alex Grimmett and Andy Callahan; great grandchildren Madison, Emily and Bradley Surface, Kamdyn Fowler and Raven Joines. Services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at High Lawn Funeral Home, 1435 E. Main St. Oak Hill, WV. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 12:30 pm to 2:00pm. Family would like to thank Kanawha Place, Hospice Care, Hospice of Southern WV and Bowers Hospice House. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Bowers Hospice House or Gideons International.
