Paul Paul Obituary

Paul, Paul Valantine – peacefully, surrounded by family, at QHC – Belleville General Hospital on Saturday, November 16, 2019 in his 80th year. Son of the late John and Frances Paul. Beloved husband of Linda Paul (nee Dawson) of Corbyville. Loving father of Corrina (Matt) Green and Devin Paul (Jill Cameron) both of Belleville. Proud Papa of Madeline, Ethan, Isabella, Dawson and Summer. Paul is survived by his sisters Theresa (Mike) Walker of Lincoln, NB and Gail (Glen) Prince of Fredericton, NB and by his sister in-law Gale (Vince) Nasso of Courtice. He is predeceased by his sister Grace Devoe and his brother Leonard Paul. Paul will be remembered by several nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273) on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Cemetery. Paul learned how to drive truck at the age of twelve on a potato farm in Maine and carried that on throughout his entire life. He was able to travel all over Canada and the United States, taking in the beautiful scenery that surrounds us. There wasn’t a place he hadn’t been and there were always many stories about his travels. Paul enjoyed fishing, bingo, casinos and of course, his grandchildren. In the later years, he very much enjoyed the Toronto Blue Jays and followed along every season. His next favourite thing was always a trip to Reid’s Dairy for a triple scoop Cherry Vanilla and a stop at Arnie’s to play some Nevada tickets. The last few years have been difficult with Paul’s declining health, but he always was happy to see his family and spend time telling stories and having the odd shot of Seagrams 83. He will be greatly missed but his struggle has come to a peaceful end as it was meant to be. “My father didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.” Clarence Budington Kelland
