WRIGHT, Leah passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016. She was born 28 November 1923 in German Township, Clark County, Ohio the daughter of Charles E. and Garnet Huffman Jenkins. She graduated Lawrenceville High School in 1941. She briefly attended Ohio Western Business School before accepting employment at First National Bank, Springfield, where she worked until her marriage to Lewis H. Wright on 3 March, 1946. In 1962 she became a temporary employee of the Champaign County Auditor. This led to full time employment in that office until retirement in March 1979, the last four years being as the Champaign County Auditor. She was the first woman to complete a full term as the elected Auditor of Champaign County. She later served as the Clerk of Urbana Township for over eight years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lewis in February 2006, one sister, Eleanor Goff, a great-grandson Colin Crisler in 2001, and a grandson Rob Wright in 2009. She is survived by sons Ted A. of Circleville, Roger J. (Olga), Paul L. (Debra) of Urbana. Grandchildren Tracey (Jeff) Farley, Melissa (Matt) Crisler, Carey (Dan) Botkin, Dan (Tawnie) Wright, Scott (Sara) Wright, and Joe Wright; step-granddaughters, Amanda (Ben) Ludlow and Jessica (Matt) Bauser as well as numerous great-grandchildren, two nieces, three nephews and other extended family. Leah was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 beginning at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center.
