On Saturday, November 16, 2019 Prashant Upreti of Kathmandu (Nepal) and Sunnyvale, California passed away at the age of 42 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Prashant will be forever remembered by his loving wife, Jyotsna and his daughters Saanvi Lohani-Upreti and Saamya Lohani-Upreti . Prashant was born April 21, 1977 in Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu, to his parents Gopi Nath Upreti and Janaki Upreti and was the brother of Prabodh Upreti and Prativa Upreti. He is also survived by his uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Prashant was a wonderful husband, a dedicated father to his girls, a beloved son and a trusted friend to many. Prashant graduated from St. Xavier’s High School and went on to receive his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU). He also received an MBA from University of San Francisco. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Wednesday, November 20, 10AM - 12:30PM at Lima and Campagna Sunnyvale Mortuary, 1315 Hollenbeck Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94087. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Prashant's honor to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. ** Prashant's wife Jyotsna would like everyone to know this is a semi-formal, yet relaxed atmosphere for everyone to celebrate Prashant's life.
