Mary Ann Derwent June 10th, 1936 - Saturday, November 16th, 2019 Ann passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2019. Although it is sad to announce her passing, she is finally at peace from the last few years of struggles with dementia. Ann was predeceased by her husband David and son Terry. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Brad (Denise); daughter Darilyn (Walter); grandchildren Jeff (Aly), Jake, and Olivia; and great granddaughter Jordyn. Ann lived life unselfishly with no-nonsense determination and strength. She was a native Calgarian with her roots in Calgary’s NW. She made friends easily, loved conversation, and welcomed a good time. She was always there with her wisdom, lending ear, outspoken words, and kind heart. Ann was a friend and a “Mom” to all. Thank you to Dr. Louw and all of the care staff at Sage Hill for your compassion and care over the last 3 years.
