Mr. William Charles Stallings, age 79, of Culloden, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 16, 2019.
Mr. Stallings was well known for his special skills in Taxidermy, having mounted hundreds of trophy fish, game, and exotic animals for many clients. He was an avid sportsman who especially loved big game hunting in the Western United States. He was born on September 11, 1940, in Upson County, GA.
Mr. Stallings was predeceased by one son, William Mark Stallings, father, Clarence Earnest Stallings, and mother, Thelma Fowler Stallings.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Ann "Julie" Shrigley Rhodes Stallings, stepson, Michael Rhodes, brother-in-law, "Bo" Shrigley, brother, "Jimmy" (Charlene) Stallings, sister, Jan Stallings Streetman, sister, Betty Stallings (Steve) Huber, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and a grand-nephew.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Stallings will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 2:00 PM in the old section of Culloden City Cemetery with Mr. James Stallings officiating. The family of Mr. Stallings will receive friends on Wednesday evening, November 20, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.
