Brighton: Passed peacefully on November 16, 2019 at age 92 after a long battle with Alzheimers and Parkinsons. Loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother sister and friend. Predeceased by her husband, Robert S. Wetmore and brother, Phillip Coene. Laura is survived by her sons, William Wetmore, Richard (Kimberly) Wetmore; grandchildren, Michael (Lauren), Tyler and Riley Wetmore; sister-in-law, Donna Coene; nieces and nephews. Laura was Secretary for the Brighton Police Department for over 30 years, serving Chiefs Carlton Fitch and Eugene Shaw. The family is grateful for the care provided by the staffs at St. John's Meadows and the Episcopal Home. Friends may call Wednesday, Nov. 20th from 4:00 pm - 6:00 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Nov. 21st., 2019, 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 601 Edgewood Ave. Private interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
